Marble Landscaping Chips

This may not be the right forum, but I'm having trouble finding an appropriate place to ask this question. In any event, I have a friend who placed many yards of white marble landscaping chips in their yard a couple of years ago. The marble is now dirty and he is having difficulty cleaning it. What types of cleaners would you suggest? As a side note, there are no plants in the area that need to be taken into consideration. But, if available, an ecologically friendly cleaner would be preferred. Thanks for your help!
