I am attempting to remove ceramic tile from my kitchen area, installed over concrete slab. Removing the tile is not the problem. Removing the thin set stuck to the slab is. Please tell me there's an easy way to do this. Thanking you in advance.

Hi Michele,

As much as I would like to, I can't tell you there is an easy way. We usually end up skimming over the top of the old stuff as we install the new tile. Takes about twice as much thin set as it would otherwise.

If you are planning to install something other than tile or stone, you will want to float the area with an underlayment approved for whatever type of floor you intend to install.
