I'm preparing to re-do the bathroom floor. Can I tile over the luan (sp?) when the sub-floor is completed? I've read that I shouldn't use particle board so I know that is out. Thx.

Take out the luan. Install cement backer board. Search this board, and you'll find a number of posts on the subject.

Hi...My bathroom has a single light switch above a single electrical outlet over the ceramic tiled wall. I want to add an outlet and a switch for a vent fan next to the current switch, which will obviously require a double wide gang box. My concern is how to cut into the existing opening in the ceramic tile, doubling its size to accommodate my new outlet, without damaging the surrounding ceramic tiled wall.
