exterior granite adhesive

Not sure if this is the right place but here goes, 8-10 yrs ago I used silicone caulk to reattach 2 granite vases to my wife's grandparents grave stone. We noticed today they are no longer attached. What would be the correct adhesive to make the vases stay in place long term?

If you Google "stone adhesive" you'll see many options. I think you'll have trouble though since you've already used a silicone product. Even though it may look clean the silicone may have gotten into the pores of the stone and could hurt adhesion in the future. If you have a Dremel tool or an angle grinder I'd touch the mating surfaces to get down to bare stone before gluing.

The grave stone top is still pretty slick and shouldn't be hard to clean well but the underside of the vase might be an issue. I had bought a granite adhesive but then read the label after I got the graveyard [must not have been smart enough to do so at the store ] and found out it was for interior use only. If I remember correctly I used it in the middle and silicone around the perimeter.

I'll see what google comes up with
