Brick veneer

I have a wood burning stove sitting on a red brick hearth (circa 1960). One of the bricks has broken and it is only around 1/2 inch thick. Is something they sell somewhere anymore? Or should I hammer off all the brink and use slate tile or something else...

Just looking for opinions.... thanks!

They make lots of thin brick faux stone, finding one that matches and is the correct size will be the challenge!

Is it intact and can be re-mortared in place?

Sounds like a brick paver or maybe quarry tile. I have the latter under my stove, mine are about 6" square and 1/2" thick.

Google Zbrick. You can order cartons from Home Depot.

The pieces in need to replace are shattered and can't be put back. They are corner pieces and have a side profile of an "L". Anyone see anything like that?

Both Lowes and Home Depot have Old Mill thin brick, which has corners shaped like an L.

Then go to a local brick supplier or ready-mix plant. Or go to your local store in person.
