What material are the tiles, and how to remove it?

The tiles are old and prolly have taken water damage, so I wanna replace them.
They feel weird, the inside of the tile feel like hard cardboard'ish material that is water damaged. They don't feel "masonary" at all. The top feels cheap, brittle and plastic'ish.
And should I replace the underlayment or plywood?

They look like the vinyl tiles we used in a mobile home my son used to have. I assume they are 12"x12" Hard to say about the underlayment or subfloor until you remove the tiles.

The first test is to measure them. If they are 12" x 12" the odds are good that they are vinyl. If they are 9" x 9" they probably contain asbestos.
