Glue subfloor layers together under tile?

Iím sure it has been asked. I looked for a little while with no luck.
I am replacing top layer of subfloor before laying tile. I know not to screw top layer into joists but Iím not sure if it would hurt anything to glue the 2 layers together.
If I SHOULDN'T glue them, what could I use to help prevent any possible squeaking? Tar paper?
thanks guys

No, you should not glue them together or someone years from now will want to wring your neck if you do. Resin paper or felt between layers is fine.

Is it just because it will be a pain in the future or could it compromise the tile job?
thank!

Its because when you glue underlayment and subfloor together, anyone who works on that floor in the future will need to tear it down to the joists in order to replace the subfloor. And the subfloor goes under your walls. You do not glue underlayment onto subfloor.
