So I did a sloppy job on the tub surround with the Kerdi fix. I was thinking to redo a band of Kerdi band over the what I’ve already done. Will the Kerdi fix adhere to what I’ve already done? I want to redo the entire tub surround. Thanks.
You ask it it will stick to what you have already done but you never told us what that was? It looks like some type of backer material which Kerdi can stick well to if you haven't covered it with another product.
Absolutely, when your instating this in a shower (floors, walls. ceilings, corner pieces) the material always overlaps existing material which creates the waterproof seal!
I bought some stacked stone for a backsplash installation. From the manufacturer it's recommended I use a latex modified thinset. However my kitchen is finished and painted and they also said I should only adhere to backerboard. I've seen on multiple sites that in this situation people rough up the wall by sanding so it adheres better. I want to do it the right way but I dont think I can get a refund on this. At the same time I can't have stone falling off my wall in a year.. Can anyone shed light on this? Thanks for reading.
Can you place marble thannos mosaic tile directly and immediately into wet mud bed of shower floor, with no thin set. Tile has turned gray instead of white. Can water be underneath tile?
