Hey guys and gals, it's been a while. But I'm ready to tackle on re-tiling my small master bathroom, previous linoleum all removed and plywood subfloor all exposed. I plan to add Schluter Ditra decoupling membrane before putting the ceramic tile on top as it seems the thing to do these days, particularly in bathroom tile jobs. However, I was wondering if there was any pre-mixed thinset in existence for bathrooms that works with the decoupling membrane and the ceramic tile? The Simple Set I see in the big box stores look convenient because there is no mixing involved but it looks like those can't be used in bathroom applications (or can they?). Is there another brand pre-mixed thinset (I guess unmodified since I'm using a membrane), that is available out there in the market that can be used for bathroom tiling? I'd rather not mix because I'm not really good with portions, but if I have to, I will. Thanks in advance!

Can I lay tile directly on plywood without having to use another layer of cement board? I was trying to cut down on the thickness of my finished floor. I have 3/4 in 6x ran at a 45 degree angle to the floor joists then thick plywood over that. Thanks.
