A while back I tiled a small landing section where the front door swings above the floor. I just had a hung door installed. Not unexpected, I have a gap that's about half an inch wide between the threshold and tile edge. I am looking for ideas on how you guys would go about filling in this gap.
The door threshold is not solid and will flex when stepped on. I have a door like that where the gap is a bit smaller but it was grouted solid and eventually it breaks up. You could try to leave a gap and caulk as mentioned or just caulk the entire gap which is what I will try.
It's wide enough that you could also put a wood filler in there that is as thick as a tile is, then cap it with a thin piece of oak trim that matches the threshold color.
I bought 13x11 hexagon tile for a powder room wall. 36.25" wide. The tiles are 11" wide. Is there a way to lay this out without it looking bad? I could return the tile, but it was the favorite. I am only tiling the wall behind the vanity/mirror.
My bathroom floor stands about a inch from my bedroom hardwood floor. I figured after putting tile down it will stand as high as a 1 1/2. I am trying get some thoughts on transitioning? I found a floor transition that's like a ramp that I think might be a good solution. Here it is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09MRDJYBN/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1KEWMPBKMVD4O&th=1
