Porcelain tile

Just had a new floor in kitchen laid over concrete floor. Tiles are black and I wanted black grout. It turned out to be charcoal grey and I want to ask about putting another layer of grout over the grey. It is only three days old.

You can't apply another layer because there isn't room. The old grout can be ground out but that is very labor intensive but it's much easier if you do it right away. The longer you wait the existing grout will get harder and stronger making it harder to remove.

You can consider a stain. Make sure you follow the instructions because there may be a waiting period before you can apply it to new grout.

Many grouts change color as they dry. It may be lighter or darker before long.
