Question

You guys have helped me before, and I really appreciate it.
I've got a 6' x 5' section left in my sunroom that's elevated (by design). It is 3/4 inch exterior plywood. I have purchased the 1/4" Hardieboard backer. The instructions say to nail it, but many remarks on this board usually say to set the backboard in thinset. Any comments on this ? Thanks,

Hi Grumpers,

Yeah, notch trowel thinset on the plywood, lay the backer board and nail. The thinset eliminates any voids under the backer.
