Question

While visiting Singapore I observed 12x12 ceramic tiles in the shower instead of the usual tiles that we have here. I would like to do this in my bathroom. Can I choose any tile or are there only specific tiles that can be used? It really was very pretty and I imagine with less grout lines it is probably easier to clean and maintain. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, we use floor tiles frequently in shower wall construction. The rule is choose a tile that will wipe off easily. Otherwise, the sky's the limit.

Keep in mind also that you will need rounded pieces to trim out at the doorway, etc. Floor tiles don't often come with matching trims.
