Redoing kitchen counter top with 6”x 6” porcelain tile.
Are there special thin sets and grouts for this tile. Will be setting these tiles on ½” Durock Cement Board.
Heard stories about these tiles needing special thin sets and grouts but no one can give me any specifics.
Versa bond does mention porcelain tile but can’t seem to fine any grouts that mention porcelain.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Wayne,

Versa Bond is fine for porcelain, and the grouts sold where Versa Bond is sold (Custom Poly Blend) will be fine, too.

The deal is, the porcelain tiles need a little extra stickum. The modified grouts and thin sets provide that.
