Question

Should I tile the floor befor I install my shower, toilet, and sink? Or should I install anyone of the componets then tile the floor. I am using 12x12 floor tile in a room that is 9x5. Also should i lay tile in the closet or leave it out.

Installing ceramic tile

Most jobs I have seen have the tub/shower already installed. Then, the tile is set and grouted. (Make sure you use the recommended concrete underlayment.) Finally, the toilet and vanity are set. For help with your tile project, you can go to http://www.johnbridge.com. John and the tile guys meet on the forums there and help us DIY folks.

Question

I actually have the same question.

Are you suggesting that I finish all the tile work and then set the vanity and toilet on top of the tile?

The vanity can be set before the tile floor goes in. The toilet will be set on top of the tile floor for sure.
