Tile and grout setting times

I want to install floor tiles in an entrance hall. How long will it take for the adhesive to set before I can grout and how long will it take for the grout to set before we can walk on it?

Thanks

Setting times for thinset and grout

Thinset typically sets up in 24 hours, but will not gain peak strength for 3-4 days. Follow manufacturer's instructions on the products you use. Most manufacturers recommend 24-48 hours before grouting. Grout usually dries within 24 hours but can take as long as 28 days to completely cure. Some recommend spraying grout once a day for the first 3 days. Follow manufacturer's instructions for both thinset and grout. Once the thinset has set, the tile is safe to walk on. That is when the grout is installed. After grout has cured for 72 hours, caulking around edges and other areas can be done. Grout haze can be buffed away with an old terry cloth and elbow grease. After 72 hours a couple applications of penetrating grout sealer should protect your grout from soil, moisture, oils, stains. You may also find the info at www.doityourself.com/ceramic helpful.
