I AM PUTTING 12 X 12 TILE BEHIND MY STOVE. DO I NEED TO USE CEMENT BOARD? AND ALSO, DO I USE MASTIC
OR THINSET

If you use cement board, thinset would be better. If you go on the drywall use mastic. Either way should be fine.
