ceramic floor tile

i have been reading some of the answers here subflooring for ceramic tile and think i might have a problem. i thought there was 3/4 plywood then 1/2in particle board which i'm taking up and replacing with 1/2in plywood, problem is it's not 3/4 plywood but 3/4 x 12in boards spaced about 3/16ths to 1/4in apart. is this going to be sufficent.

Those boards are going to move around. Giving you an unstable subsurface for ceramic tile. To stay in spec you really need to cover the planks with 3/4" plywood, then put your backerboard or ditra over the plywood.
