Question ceramic tile over ceramic tile?

Can I install ceramic tile over an existing mosaic tile floor? It is hard as a rock but not real level. How long would it have to set?

Installing tile over tile

Ceramic tile can be installed over old tile. The tile surface should be free of wax, oil, soil, debris and anything that might interfere with the bonding of the thinset mortar. Surface should be flat. If not, a self-leveling compound can be used to compensate for imperfections such as dips and sags in floor. Go to www.doityourself.com/ceramic for helpful tips.
