Wink re-grouting tile

Our builder did a poor job of finishing our grout and now most of it along the floor has cracked and come out. I am about to re-grout these areas, one of which is where tile along the side of our tub meets the floor. I intend to grout that area, and then put white caulk over it. Is that sufficient? Would anyone NOT use the caulk. Got that idea from reading an earlier post. Wish me luck!

Really no reason to grout the joint between vertical and the floor; just run a nice bead of silicone caulk. Grout in that area is likely to crack anyway.
