sealing ceramic tile shower floor

I have a stall shower that is about 7 years old. I recently had some repair work done on the shower floor and walls to repair missing grout. The entire floor was regrouted with a tile grout product that came in a tube.

I have seen conflicting advice regarding whether the grout on the shower floor should be sealed. Please advise. Thanks.

the grout can be sealed (not sure I would have used grout in a tube).

Sealing tile grout

Check with the manufacturer of the grout in the tube for recommendations regarding sealing. While grout in showers is best sealed, your particular grout manufacturer may or may not recommend sealing.

Aghgh!

Grout doesn't come in a tube. Caulking comes in a tube. I hope you didn't pay for the work. Don't worry about sealing. You've been taken, I think. Sorry.
