Wall texture over wallpaper
Can I put wall texture (the thick textured paste you buy in a 5 gallon pail) over wallpaper, then paint it? Or will it not stick to the wallpaper?

whether the texture will stick to the wallpaper or not isn't the issue. if the wallpaper has any loose spots or isn't adhered very well, the weight of the texture will pull the paper away from the wall and the whole project will fail. also, the moisture from the texture will probably loosen the wallpaper, even if it is currently well-adhered, making it pull off. best to take off as much of the paper as possible.
