Applique: Wallpaper over paneling?

I remember seeing an ad on tv for a wallpaper that could be applied directly over wood paneling. It think it was called "Applique". Have you ever heard of it or a similar product? Where can I find it?

We just finished wallpapering over paneling, came out fine, we used a compound for filling in the bad cracks in the paneling,then just sized the walls, and we used the heavy paper, it came out good.

I have used wallpaper liner paper with good results. It is available in unpasted, which is cheaper, and pre-pasted. It is hung horizontally as opposed to the wallpaper which is hung vertically thereby eliminating the chance of having both seams on the same line. It is not nearly as messy as filling the grooves in the paneling.

I should have also said that before using the liner paper I used a product recommended to me by my dealer. It's called Bite Primer "an acrylic all-surface wallcovering primer" from Golden Harvest of Shawnee Mission, Kansas.

splitting the room in 1/2

Hi. Now I have some idea in how to remove a popcorn ceiling and to float a wall, I am ready for the next project. That room will be split in 2 halves, the bottom 1/2 will be a wall paper and the upper 1/2 will be painted with a boarder. Here is my question, what is the ideal highet to split a wall?. I am also affixing a base molding about 3" and another molding at the split(2-3"). One more question, do I have to take into consideration when primering and preparing the wall that wallpaper will be installed??? Thanx a million.

I want to apply a cut a picture of a tiger from a poster and paste it to my wall like a miral. What type of adhesive do I use and do I need to put something on top of the picture to protect it.
