pasting prepasted wallpaper

we're preparing to hang some heavy textured vinyl wallpaper in the bath. We planned to roll paste on it even tho it's prepasted, just to make sure it sticks. Now I have read that you should not use paste, just put it in water to activate the paste already there. In our kitchen we hung prepasted wallpaper, but used premixed paste on it and the results were fine. Are the rules different for the bath?
