Best type of wallpaper for an imperfect wall?

My walls have a lot of small bumps and holes. I would like to cover it with wallpaper and then paint the wallpaper.

Some online researching showed me ''fiberglass wallpaper'' and '' renovation fleece wallpaper''.

Is this the type that i need? Which one is better? Thank you!

Either paint or wallpaper - painting over wallpaper is a bad idea. You may need to skim coat the wall with joint compound to get it smooth; some pictures would help make that call.

Even if you did that, which I would not suggest, the painting part, you still would want to repair the wall so that imperfections were eliminated.

I agree, it's best to repair the wall. The only time hanging fleece paper and painting over it is when it's an old plaster wall with a million tiny cracks. Repairing the wall shouldn't be any more time consuming than hanging the wallpaper and whether you paint or wallpaper the wall will look better repaired.
