Best product to fill small holes in the wall?

Right now i have a tube of Alabastine filler. But the problem is that it's so liquid, that filling even a small hole becomes very difficult since it will leave a hole once i scrape the excess off. It's too liquid-ish.

Is there a better product i can work with?

Small holes, like those made by a nail, are typically best handled with spackle. If you happened to have some on hand, joint compound would also be fine.

Forget spackle.
White toothpaste. Dries into something harder than contractor-grade glue.
