what is the safest/best way to attach a poster to a wall covered in wallpaper? i would prefer not to have to buy a frame and hang it that way, so i was wondering what the best way to do it without damaging the paper was...
would something like clear packaging tape work, or should i look to something more or less tape-like?

They use some kind of putty at my daughters dorm that comes in 3 colors. I suppose that is what toptosher refers to. Of the 3 she can only use the blue. We get this at the school bookstore.....Mike

Hello, I am interested in applying torn paper to the upper portion of my walls. I've seen this done with brown paper but I'd like to use white. Is this possible, or will the paper turn to a different color. The most important question I have though is needing to know the process that is used to apply it to the walls. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Faith

We live in a house built in 1936. A couple of the rooms are wallpapered with what looks like original - or at least very old - wallpaper. Underneath, we suspect, is horsehair plaster. We want to remove the paper, repair?, and paint. We need all the advice we can get on each of the steps. Thanks.
