I am helping a friend wallpaper her kitchen. What is the easiest method to do to insure a straight edge/cut on the soffiet. Please help we are desperate. Thanks

 

There is not right/wrong way to do a soffett. It is hard to explain and understand what you are talking about though. For now, I am assuming that the cut you are talking about is the edge that transitions from vertical to horizontal. The best way to do this is with a NEW blade in your cutter, run this along the horizontal edge, with the blade being flush. If for some reason, there is a texture along this portion that prevents this, you will have to do a free hand or straight edge cut along where the line is. Cut the wallpaper to match the levelness/crookedness of the architechtural feature and don't try to cut it perfectly level. This will only draw attention to the fact that the soffett line may not be level. Hope I helped and best of luck with it.
