sheetrock

Never did any of this! I put up sheetrock when I put in a smaller window. I now have a 15 inch area of sheetrock next to a painted wall. Do I cover the sheetrock with something or just prime and paint it?? Already have first coat of tape and compound on to dry. Thanks.

Cool

Once you tape and mud and smoothly sand the seam to blend with the old wall, prime and paint the sheetrock and wall.
Good luck!

Agree with Mike....and count on several coats of drywall compound before its smooth enough to paint. The project could take several days since each coat will need to dry before you do any sanding.
