bathroom ceiling fan leak

bathroom ceiling fan leak
I have a two year old house and am starting to notice that the ceiling around the bathroom fan is turning yellow from water and yesterday when I took the fan guard off I noticed that it was actually holding some water. What do I do to stop this and what do I do to the ceiling that is yellow (and currently a little soggy)? Thanks for your help.

This is typically caused by condensation forming inside the exhaust vent in an unheated attic space (or a leak around the vent on the roof).
Check the exhaust vent pipe in the attic first. If it is not insulated, wrap and duct-tape batts of insulation around it to prevent condensation.
As far the ceiling goes, let it dry out completely.
If it is not visibly damaged, but just stained, you can seal the water stain with a sander/primer/sealer like Kilz, and repaint the ceiling.
Good Luck!
