Textured Ceiling
#1

I was redueing my roof. Then it rained and then I got a leak.
The prob. is; that leak caused the ceiling (textured like popcorn) in the hallway to bubble. I think the sag is just texture and paint. My ? is how do you repair the texture? Do you also have to replace the drywall?
Thanks
Don

If the drywall has dried out and still flat, it should be o.k.
You can get spray can trexture repair paint.
Scrape the loose texture off.
Seal the bar drywall with Kilz or other sander/primer/sealer.
Spray on the texture. You can practice on a piece of cardboard first, if you want.
Re-paint ceiliing.
Good LucK!

I would be very careful if you are going to use the texture spay in the can. It does take a little getting use to in order to have a good looking job and seal off the surrounding area because this stuff splatters all over. Also look to see how much area the spray will cover. It just might be cheaper and easier in the long run to buy a pumper and mixture.
