quarter round moulding HELP!!

hello all,
I am trying to put quarter round moulding as crowning in our house but I cannot get more than on corner to go together. Any tips on how or what to cut to get these corners to go? can you even use quarter rounds and crowning??
thanks,
tren

To make inside corners fit, cope one of the pieces to the other.

To make the outside corners fit, either get an angle guage from the box store or approximate it as you creep up on it. Wall intersections in houses are rarely 90 degree angles, which makes it a challenge.

With quarter round on an outside corner, you could butt one run up against the other, with it cut long and sand it down to match the profile and glue them together. This works only with simple profiles.

Let me know if this helps.
