cutting angles

I built a knee wall that continues down a small flight of stairs. I capped the top of the wall and am usig chair rail to tirm around my problem is finding the angle to cut the molding. for the railing part of the wall HOw do you find angles?

If the angles are not the usual 45 and 90 degree angles, use a protractor to measure the angle.

Cut it close with a hand saw but over, then break out the coping saw for getting the exact angles.
