Wall Mirror Removal
#1
We recently purchased a condo were one wall in the dining room has a floor to ceiling, full width-of-room mirror attached to it. It is glued to the wall, not screwed in or resting on a header/footer piece. If necessary we are willing to rip out the sheetrock behind the mirror, but would rather not if it can be avoided. Because of the condo's small size, we can shift furniture away from the work area, but not out of the room. My major concern is preventing shards of glass from going all over the room & getting into the furniture. What is the best way of removing the mirror?

Hi - my advice is probably something youo have already thought of - but is something I have seen put into practice. With smaller pieces of glass, you just use loads and loads of gaffer tape and cover the surface to be broken, this will hold all the shards in place once the job is done. I wonder if you can somehow get hold of larger pieces of adhesive plastic to do the job on a larger scale.
