We recently bought a new doublewide, and the walls are sheetrock covered with vinyl, and not exactly my favorite in colors what are my options on changing the walls?

I think you said that you have sheet rock on the walls and
vinyl on the sheet rock. If that is the case, see if you can
take the vinyl off and re-paper it. Vinyl wall paper usually
comes off fairly well but it will leave the wall with goo residue.

If the walls are a vinyl sheeting, then you should check to see
if there really is sheet rock behing the vinyl coated sheets. You
may want to hire an expert decorator to assist you with this project,
because either way, the sheet rock may not be smooth enough to paint
when you are done removing the vinyl material.

A plasterer could thin coat it also, but that could be expensive.
