Removing Old Stucco from Ceiling
#1

The ceiling in my bathroom is covered in stucco with a swirl pattern. It looks hideous and is in poor condition. The stucco has already come off in several places on its own. How can I remove the stucco without doing major damage to the plaster ceiling beneath? Help!

yes if it has started to come off, get a putty knife, start sliding it above the stucco, and peel it off. It will be messy.
Have some garbage bags and a broom handy.
After you have the stucco off, clean your ceiling, and apply a coat of what is called 1st Coat. It is white like paint. Give your ceiling a coat of this, then finish off however you like. Good Luck
