Question

I am trying to spruce up my house I have a plaster wall that is cracked in many places the cracks are small but I would like to seal them before painting will joint compound work or any good idea would be appreciated thanks

Yes, use a vinyl joint compound. It comes in a plastic container about the size of a large cottage cheese container. You apply it with a putty knife. It is white, dries overnight, you can paint it, and it works great. My wife always has a jar of it around, for small cracks. Good Luck
