drywall size

My husband just brought home 3/8" drywall. We are finishing a 4 season sunroom and had removed the house siding. Can we use this ? He bought home 5 sheets. It will go on either plywood or some foam insulation

3/8" drywall is good for 16" stud spacing on walls that do not require extra fire rating (such as a wall separating a garage).

1/2 inch is better. will be straighter and easier to hang.
