How to bend a drywall

I have had to repair a few archways in 1950's and 60's homes, and I use 1/4" drywall because it bends easy without breaking. After the first layer, I simply apply a second layer that brings it out to 1/2" thick. For those of you who haven't tried this, you should. I can do an arch in less than ten minutes with both layers. I have not had to score or wet the drywall with this method. I have also done 1 victorian curved wall with the same results!
