Painting finished knotty pine walls
What is the best way and product to prep and paint finished knotty pine walls.

If the finish is otherwise sound, you can clean with TSP or mineral spirits, knock down the gloss a bit by rubbing with a scotcbrite pad, then prime with a top quality primer, such as: Zinsser 123, then paint with top quality acrylic latex paint.
You might want to fill nail heads and other flaws before painting. These don't show up much when stained, but they are noticed when painted. Do this before priming.
