Steel Framing For Long Span Ceilings...
(Again,) I have a 10' tall basement. We want a drywall ceiling at 8'. The room is 40' long. Half of it is 20' wide - half of it is 15' wide. I'm now toying with the idea of steel studs to span the 20 and 15 foot widths. Either side of the span is a (2x4) exposed frame wall. The 1/2" drywall will be attached to the steel framing.
Does anyone have experience with this?
Can anyone point me to instuctions on the web how to do this.
Any ideas are welcome.
Thanks...
