I live in Atlanta, GA...actually, around 30 miles south of the airport.
I am looking for a hanger/finisher to install and finish drywall in my basement (8 foot ceilings). How do I know what to ask for and how do they usually price themselves...like $/sheet or by the job? Is nailing better than screwing or does it matter?
Thanks.

bverdon,
Sorry didn't mean to derail your thread, I live in more rural area a couple of hours east of coops, I generally just bid the labor end of things, also by the sq ft. Prices vary according to the difficulty of the job, vaults, high ceilings, etc, around here labor alone will run you $.40 to $.65 a ft. Material is around a quarter a ft.
Prices for this type of work vary by region, shop arond in your area, get at least 3 bids. remember the lowest isn't always the best, and check references. Hope that helps. Good luck
