non load-bearing partition wall / double top plates

is there anything wrong with having a double top plate frame [like those on load bearing walls] for a non-load bearing partition wall thats parallel to a ceiling joist?

im about half way done with a partition wall in my basement when i realized i did double plates. this is my first time building a wall and i guess i didn't read the book i have on framing correctly.

should i leave it as is or take it down and start over?
