Angry repairing falling ceiling tiles

I NEED HELP!!!

I have ceiling tiles in my livingroom and so far 5 have fallen. These are the old ones that staple to furring strips... I have tried stapling them back up but there aren't staples long enough to staple through the tiles... my uncle told me to use liquid nails but that doesn't work.... is there anything i can do besides replacing the entire ceiling? i really don't have money to hire someone to put in a new ceiling and i'm trying to sell this house because as a single-working mom, I just don't have the income to keep doing house repairs or improvements. i would really appreciate any help... thanks!

You did not say why liquid nails did not work. Usually, you can apply liquid nails, press in place, remove, wait 3 - 5 minutes then install with adhesion on contact because of the partial drying. Check the instructions on the label for exact timing on this.

Hope this helps.
