plastering outside

the plaster fell of the wall, in the shape of a large circle, i mixed some sand and cement 3and 1 mix, plastered it on looked a good job, until the next day i looked at it, it developed cracks in it, could it be the cold ? please advise marie

Stucco, like all things in life, shrinks. I'm not a stucco expert put I know it's a two coat process(at least) and if it dries too fast it will crack. You need to put thinner coats on.
