Removing interior doorway

I am removing an interior double doorway, leads from living room to dining room, and side wall on either side of doorway. Want to make on large room. It is not a load bearing wall. Any tips to this project. I have already removed door and drywall. All that is left is a couple of wood studs.

Thanks

remove the existing 2X4's if one of the walls on either side is an exterior wall ensure that the vapour barrier is continuous patch with another strip and tape if nessessary. Pathch the two side walls with same thickness or shim to bring new drywall flush.,apply mud over seams place paper tape press it down squeesing out mud and embedding tape. Let dry then skim over with 8" trowel let dry and skim again with 12" finishing knife or trowel.
