crown molding & jigs

Does anyone know if any of the crown molding jig systems for mitiring with out coping will actualy work?

I have no experiance with that particular system. It look like you will have to cope still.

I guess that setup would work if you were dealing with exact 90 degree angles. The problem is that those are pretty rare.

Just used it this weekend. Results are okay if you're going to paint molding (which I did) and you can calk in the gaps. If you going to stain I think the results wouldn't be acceptable.

My results would have been better if I would have used a compase and cut angles that were closer to the actual instead of 90's.

Another lesson learned is to make sure your molding is good, I bought some from Lowes at $30 an 8' section and there were some serious issues with straightness.

Hope this can help someone else.
