Question for awesomedell / coops28

Yo,

I decided to go ahead and demo the plaster and replace with drywall. Not too bad so far - only the places where the wire mesh was used was really tight to the wall. Everywhere else was plaster on the wood lath.

My question is...(may not be the right forum)

Would it be best to refinsh the wood floors before I paint or paint before I refinsh wood floors? Thnx

Paint first, last thing you want is an accidental paint spill on a freshly refinished floor. Good luck Wes.

If I could bug you one more time...

Should I rip out the wood lath that the plaster was applied to or leave it and hang drywall over it?

The lath is in good condition, but I'm afraid there might be some high-low spots in it that would create more of a challenge for me. Hanging on exposed studs seems like it would be easier.

Thanks for all your help
