How to clean drywall dust off walls???

It is a new house and I am going to paint. What is the best way to get the dust off the walls before I paint?

You could vacuum them or use a damp cloth or sponge.

If you use a shop-vac, you can get a filter bag made especially for drywall dust. Using that will cut down considerably on the dust flying around when you vacuum.

A swifter pad on a pole works well too.
