Suspended Acoustic Ceilings

I am considering a suspended acoustic ceiling for a new woodworking shop.I would appreciate some advice on any possible drawbacks to this application. For example, would it be considered a fire hazard due to dust buildup?

I don't think it would be a fire hazard. Those ceilings are in every commercial application with strick fire codes. They aren't very durable so they might get dinged up pretty easily. I've seen guys put up the grid and use plywood for the panels. Really up to you.
